Should a guy friend go back sit While girlfriend/wife to sit at front of a car?

It seems we have lost it in this generation.

I keep on seeing this happening. If it's random friend it's understandable but not a real close friend or a relative. It's not done from where I came from and improper.

The wife/girlfriend can't sit at the front when I visitor like close relative or close friend is in the same car.

It look like this act is causing serious issues in many home and relationship if the girlfriend or wife don't sit at the front when a real friend or relatives are around.

Or is this the normal?

What is it with sitting at the front seat of a car? I don’t like sitting on the front seat passenger’s side. It’s either I’m driving or at the back.

How can people be dragging a spot in someone else’s car?

Some people and poverty mentality.

My mom and gf have never dragged front seat cos they both love staying at the back seat, I’ll be the one to tell gf to come to the front seat. They only seat at the front when I take my nephews and nieces on outing, when all the kids stay at the back and mom/gf stays at the front. If both are going with the little kids, bae ask mom to stay at the front seat while she seats at the back to control the kids.

I had to go pick up one guy I used to carpool to work years back, and he always stays at the front seat cos it’s always me and him. One day I had to pick up another friend before I picked him up. The friend sat at the front seat, and when I got to where I was going to pick the original guy, he stood by the front door expecting the guy at the front to come down for him. It was irritating as I even waited for him to enter and sit at the back seat, He just stood there. After like 2 mins I just drove off and left the id!ot there. I’m like see this muuuumu

That it is not done where you come from and considered improper, does not make it the universal standard.

Focusing on wives, I grew up seeing my mother sit in the front seat at every given time irrespective of who else was in the vehicle be it relatives or my father's male friends, they all respected that boundary, my mother came first....I have continued it

its an issue to those who cant drive and want to be seen in the front passenger seat, a woman who drives mostly wont have an issue if the friend to her husband sits at the front

As drivers it feels good to be driven, whether front seat or back it doesnt matter

How sitting at the front with the driver turned out a thing of importance is something I don't understand. Do this people realise that even the president always sits at the back, while his driver and security detail sit at the front? Can they pause for a moment to think of themselves as the boss who is being driven? At least, that can make their sorry asssss fill important, since that matters so dearly to them.

To say it's a culture where you came from doesn't mean everyone should turn a blind eye to simple logic.

I don't give the front seat any level of importance. Even if I were to choose, damn man, I'll definitely choose the back seat. It makes you feel like a king driven around. Imagine coming out from the VIP back seat at ShopRite..and tactically walk at the front so that the person who drove you comes at the back. You know the respect it carries? Una no sabi anything at all sha.

Even if na my sis I wan carry, you cannot come and tell me my wife has to stand for you to seat in front! You cannot try it...cos I'll understand it to mean you only want to create frictions. Then you wey be common friend...imagine wetin come happen to you...whether or not na culture for your place.

Any relative that wants to fight for front seat with the wife is just foolish. I won't bother to fight and equal myself with such a person.

But then, I usually leave the front seat for them because they might want to chit chat and I'm just fine sitting at the back. How many times does it happen? They will go and I can go back to sitting there.

Visitors need some contesy. It's respect are welcoming to feel well deserved

you are not supposed to drag the front seat with your friend's wife or girlfriend, it's not your car and it's not done anywhere.
