Do U Think Nff Should Grant Argentina A Rematch? by Nobody: 10:20pm On Jul 12, 2011 |
Hi evry1, it's all ova d media dat a committee is tryin 2 organize som kind of 'return leg' of the friendly match in which d Super Eagles outclassed & beat Argentine 4 - 1 for d 1st time in history. i wonda why they must b 'compensated' cos i can imagine a humiliation of our dear super eagles wil b put through dis time around & its psychological effect on coach Sia1 & d players. Not 2 talk of d pull on our FIFA ranking when they succeed in beating our Eagles in a ridiculous way. So, i decided 2 seek your views on dis matter: r u in support of d 2nd friendly match wit Argentina? Pls cast ur vote and if yes, pls tell us why. tnx in advance. |

@mama-gee, tnx 4 ur contribution. A friend on my facebook page was convinced d super eagles would even beat Argentina by a wider margin dis time around n he was serious. A lot of others who commented weren't in support of d 2nd chance, saying their squad might become toughened with d likes of Messi, Mascherano, Maxi Rodriguez, etc, since what they seek is a revenge. Same feeling i have. Tnx 2 evry1 who contributed but more contribution is welcome. |

I don't expect d NFF 2 accept $2million on offer at d expense of our natioonal honour. Date and venue 4 d match are already chosen. The NFF is making a fool of themselves. Argentina has ended our participations at major competitions on several different occasions: at our 1st senior world cup in 1994, at d U-20 world cup in 2005 (where we lost on 1-goal to 2), at d Beijing Olympics in 2008 (on 2-3 aggregate) and again at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where also lost 2 them by a lone goal. Is it only one friendly win that we can't enjoy with peace of mind? By being enticed with $2m, d NFF is telling d whole dat Nigerians truly place money above anything else. And when we com crashing down FIFA's rating, there'll be no stopping us. I'm not wishing bad, just predicting what's likely. |
