Abeg make una feel this excuse where our boys dey give . . . Na wao embarassed embarassed  . . .

Nigeria’s Under-23 captain, Kingsley Udoh has alleged that African charms (juju) were discovered in their dressing room, prior to their All Africa games final qualifying match against Ghana ’s Black Meteors at the Baba Yara Sports Complex on Sunday.

Holding a 3-1 first led advantage into the weekend’s cracker in Kumasi , the Nigerians crashed out of the race to play at the All Africa Games, because Ghana won 2-0.

Kingsley Udoh

Speaking to reporters, Udoh said that the team did not use the dressing room following the discovery of the charms.

“We were not in the match because some of us were not able to handle the horrific scenes that we saw when we entered the dressing room. I am not making excuses for our loss but when we made to enter the dressing room, we saw charms and imagine the kind of feelings or fears that could generate for young chaps like us.

“There is more to how the Ghanaians attained this win than by playing good football. We are a good team which they also know but on that day, some players I felt were good  could not play well. Juju  may not be working in sports but the fear of it could disorientate some people and I felt some people lost it to fear because of what they saw in the dressing room”, added Udoh.

Juju no dey work. All na basic illussions. Mindfreak!. If them no put am for your food or rub am for your body, nothing do you. You see snakes and tortoise in your dressing room and then you get worried and loose the psychological war before the game starts.

Na today? Ghana has been beating Nigeria before that player(captain of U-23 team) was born. He should try and ask elderly people who know the history of football rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana before talking rubbish.

There has been healthy rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana, but that changed during the first leg of the AAG game in Benin. The Ghanaians complained bitterly that their team, players, fans and officials were maltreated in . The news got to Ghana and their fans mobilised to pay Nigeria back in similar way, but maybe they went a little too far.

If you are so afraid of charms, why does every single Nigerian national football team make a public show of prayer before every match? It shows that they pray without faith, they might as well not pray at all.
Re: Defeat: We Found Charms In Our Dressing Room – Nigerian Captain by houvest: 12:13pm On Jul 15, 2011
CAF is funny. why field two of the best African teams against themselves instead of seeding them against weaker teams? The two teams are so good that they should have been at the AAG. Too bad Nigeria is out. It is the Game's loss.

Failure is part of life. Most times, failure forms the bedrock of future success. It offends people sensibility when you give excuse for failure. There is no excuse for failure. We should learn to take responsibility in event of failure by apologizing, pleading for forgiveness and promise to put up a better show in subsequent events if given another chance.

Why are you posters so daft?
That was not an excuse, simply an observation of fact. As he highlighted, the FEAR of such tends to have a debilitating effect on africans.
Mind wandering in different directions instead of focusing on the ball, never knowing what to expect in the next second.

These things affect gameplay.
