Is It True Dark Skinned Girls Feel Insecure About Their Complexion? by afonjabreed(m): 7:37pm On May 12, 2022 |
Growing up as a young man, I’ve had encounter with different guys with different skin tone. As guys, We pick on and tease the dark skinned guys in our clique because of their complexion, and we all laugh about it. Guys don’t read meaning to this issue. Lately, I saw a post about a lady feeling insecure about her complexion and this sparked a question within me, so i am here to seek answers. Do dark skinned ladies feel insecure about their complexion? Do they think it puts them at the rear, compared to their fair skinned counterparts when it comes to making male friends? Women are generally externally driven and need the approval of their society, and it is common with younger ones. A dark skin lady will feel insecure if she lives in a place where dark skin is vilified. So yes, they do feel insecure about their complexion. I can list a few Nigerian songs that praise light skin, which is not good as most Nigerian women are dark skin. But it has largely changed, as people are more vocal about it, and music videos use black women by default these days. Which is a good thing. 10 Likes 2 Shares |
