One couple from the north Indian state of Uttarakhand is suing their only son and his wife because they did not give them grandchild after six years of marriage.

Sanjeev and Sadhana Prasad, 61 and 57, said they finished all their savings to raise this their child, including paying for his pilot training and his big weddingThey are asking for compensation which will reach nearly $650,000 (£525,000) if their child did not give them grandchild this year.

The son and his wife did not say anything yet on the whole issue

The parents filed this lawsuit on the grounds of "mental harassment"

Mr Prasad said he took all his savings to spend on his child, even send him to America in 2006 for pilot training which cost him about $65,000.

The son came back to India in 2007, but lost his job so his family again financially supports him for more than two years, according to the Times of India.
