Exactly the same reasons i always condemn the act but most Nairalanders will attack and call u names and pray u get attacked by real robbers forgetting cases of those wrongly accused. I have been in the situation some 16 yrs ago when i got information that some guys who duped my boys were in a particular cafe. And before I got there the guy was already being manhandled. Cut long story short the community people ( cos the place is like the outskirts of the main town where we stay) them change am for me when dey form super mediator and before u say jack it's mob attacks from all corners. If no be God i nor know how me and guys take hold the fight for long but we couldn't cos they were just to damn much but them collect too. After overpowering us the accused guys mom called SARS. Then SARS dey shoot first. I think she also called anti robbery. Before then them done tie us down like goats use everything from blocks to planks on us I still don't even know how I came out with no real serious injuries. As God would have it the anti robbery squad came first. The mob disperse themselves. Stole my phones, new original converse, my belt. One look at me the leader of the anti robbery squad came close and only asked me " What happened" and as i started to explain he cut me short and ordered them to untie me. Arrested the woman who called them and took us all away. So just imagine if the worst had happened to us they would say we were armed robbers.. Just like that people get condemned because of hatred, jealousy and envy.
We are too backwards and very uncivilized as a Nation yet they claim to travel around the globe and are exposed.

When people who have sense, like real sensible people, not just literate ones refuse to condemn, and even participate in jungle justice, this is what the illiterate and less sensible majority will take as an example.
