If a reward of #5000 is given for any thief caught and brought to the police station. Would it reduce jungle Justice?

To prevent the reward being abused. Confirmation and reward will require 3 witnesses to the crime. Funding can come from NGOs or the Government.

Is such a thing feasible, what do you think? abi I done high!

We all knw you high, but you thinking

That could work maybe. Payment made from the NGO not the police.

But will that stop the thief, deter him from repeating the crime or drive him to repent ?!
With the corruption in the police force today, the criminal will be released and he will seek revenge on those who turned him in.

Having said that, Let’s say no to jungle justice.

Thanks bro, maybe I'm not so high after all.
I think deterance will be up to a good judicial system or the society, the case in Ghana comes to mind. The love shown to that guy has changed his life.

Dear OP, hope you'd learn from this little story.

Once upon a time in India, Cobra bites became incessant to the extent the locals wanted nothing else from the British colonial government than to eliminate the snakes.

So, The British masters announced that rewards awaits whoever killed a Cobra and provide the carcass at the precincts.

Moreover, the locals started killing the cobras and getting sweet rewards to the extent many of them left their real-jobs to start looking for snakes to kill.
The snake massacre was much and within a short time all the snakes were eliminated.

However, when it became clear that 'No snake, no rewards', the greedy locals went to neighboring towns to import Cobras and started Cobra-farming.
They were able to raise millions of cobras which they kill for cash from the government.

Nonetheless, the govt soon get wind of the fraud and they stopped paying the reward for dead Snakes.
Then the angered snake keepers released the snakes back to nooks and crannies of the town and cities to spite the British masters and the former little problem became a bigger problems in India.

The British masters later vacate India and the locals were left to deal with the Cobras they had farmed.

Up till now, some locals are still farming Cobras in India.

Jungle justice is supported for murderers, armed robbers, kidnappers and rapists.

Lol very funny story. I thought about that story as I had the idea. The reward can surely be abused.

Maybe it can be implemented for a short while to change the mentality of the populace. So that people will now have the idea in their subconscious that taking the thief to the police is the right thing to do.

Then the reward can be removed. Thanks for your submission.

What about those who are wrongly accused? Have you ever experienced mob Justice? It is worse Than a nightmare.

No time to defend yourself, guilty or not, your pleas of innocence will be drawned out by the rabid screams of the crowd... burn him! Kill him! Is the last thing you will remember.
