Us Birth Visa On Health Ground by Kinibuiro: 3:51am On May 19, 2022
Good morning house, I am a sickle cell patient and currently 12 weeks pregnant. I will like to give birth to my baby in US based on my pregnancy being a high risk. Pls how do I go about it to ensure I get the visa. I’m looking at Houston or Virginia but I haven’t contacted a hospital yet as I don’t know how to go about it.

In these times no one will give you such visa. You are also high risk, can you afford the costs in case of complications. Its even too late to even get a visa date. So this is mission impossible

I disagree. The US is well aware of what sickle cell is and that your pregnancy is definitely high risk for you and the baby. Unlike most here, you are far better qualified to seek a US visa to have your baby. I would suggest that you start looking at contacting doctors in the US who specialize in women like you.

Here is a link I found for Houston. They do not list an Obgyn but they would be a good place to start - https://www.utphysicians.com/clinic/ut-physicians-comprehensive-sickle-cell-center/

Don't be discouraged. you're only 12 weeks pregnant so you still have a good deal of time. All the best!

the info you provided is outdated. It was sent out in January 2020 under Trump. The Biden administration has since rescinded that rule.

She’s responsible for the full cost but high-risk will call for a Dr visit once a week for the last 2 months. Those 8 visits and all the doctor, specialist, hospital, medicine costs will be huge.

She has not said she is incapable of affording it so let’s not discourage her.
