What is an African dress?

An African dress is a style of clothing that originated in Africa and has been worn by people from this continent for thousands of years. It's also known as "traditional clothing," and it's common for people who live in rural areas or small villages to wear African dresses. These garments can be found all over the world, but they're especially popular in countries like Egypt and Nigeria.

Types of African Dresses

There are many different kinds of African dresses; some are made out of cotton e.g ankara,short ankara dresses etc or linen while others are made out of silk or velvet. Each country has its own traditional style, but there are some commonalities across the board such as loose-fitting pants and long tunics with wide sleeves. Many different types of fabrics can be used to create these outfits; some examples include:

Cotton - This material tends to be lightweight but durable enough for everyday wear (especially if it's treated with something like polyester). It also comes in many shades so you'll never have trouble finding something that suits your tastes!

Linen - This material has been around since ancient times because it's durable yet breathable (it helps regulate body temperature), which makes it perfect for hot climates like Africa where temperatures can
