Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden beats Declan Rice, Mason Mount and others who were considered for the Premier League Young Player of the Season to win the award.

Foden, who has already won the award in 2020/2021 season, has came back this season to win the award the second time in a consecutive year registering 9 goals, 5 assists and also making influence in the team under the club’s manager Pep Guardiola.

The 21 years old Foden having missed the a month due a foot injury he sustained but he beat off his competition from Chelsea’s Mason Mount and West Ham’s Declan Rice scoring 9 goals, giving 5 assists, creating 37 chances, and have other achievements lined up.

According to Foden he said “I am very proud to have won this award for a second season in a row. There are so many talented young players in the Premier League and it is a real honor to win it again”..

According to Pep Guardiola in a statement he gave earlier this month he said there is no reason why his players will not continue improving in the years coming.
