I posted earlier asking whether the directive from CAN to churches in holding peaceful protest today was obeyed.

A group of Christian faithful today in Ibadan have staged a peaceful protest demanding that the perpetrators of the alleged killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto state be brought to book.

They are also demanding that other Nigerians who have lost their lives due to religious intolerance be given justice.

The protesters who occupied the premises of oritamega Baptist church in Ibadan carried placards with various inscriptions demanding that justice be served accordingly to Deborah and those who have been killed unjustly.

Nigeria is a secular country, Islamisation will not work.

I think it's time government regulate religious activities in Nigeria

You should caution your Christian fellow to be mindful of their utterance rather than wasting energy and time carrying placard up and down

you are not serious, what did Deborah say that would warrant her death?

Why should Sharia law supersede federal and state laws?

What about her rights and freedom as enshrined in the constitution

Is Nigeria a lawless country, why should people take law into their own hands and commit murder all in the name of blasphemy

It will if we do nothing to stop it. It's just one night and Christianity could be no more in Nigeria. They are just recruiting more people. And the attack will happen when we are sleeping. Houses will be set on fire all over every communities in Nigeria dominated by Christians. Each street and even villages have people assigned to them. While some will be setting houses ablaze, others will be shooting as they try to run. And there will be no where to run to. This is a clear vision I saw and don't think it won't happen.

The military is on their side. And they will cut off network and internet within the period of the attack. They have already test run how to cut off network in Zamfara state.

We just need to pray and prepare for self defense. But self defense without weapons is useless.

Even the weapons Niger Delta has won't be enough to repel the attack.

So, please let's pray like never before. God will deliver us. God will frustrate their plans in Jesus name.

Nonsense.

Vision is God's way of showing things ahead so we can do something about it. I have seen several visions about Nigeria for over 30 years and many of them have come to pass. So, what I am saying is that we should not just sit down and say it will not happen. The one they are already doing in Southern Kaduna and Benue, who is stopping them? Who have they ever arrested? The Christian soldiers are helpless because in the military, you can't do anything unless you are commanded to. Unless they want to start mutiny. And this will lead to war amongst them.

So, let's lift our voices day and night and pray. It's unfortunate that the Christian body has no strong leadership and there is no unity. The leadership by now should have called for a national fasting and prayers. If possible, 3 days dry fasting every month to avert the coming evil. This is what Queen Esther did in the Bible day and the evil plot to wipe away the Jews was overturned.

May God have mercy on us and save us from this wicked and unreasonable men in Jesus name. Amen.

Protests only makes sense when the government failed to agree with their subjects but in this case it's the subjects against their fellow subjects!
This supposed to be something all Nigerians should stand up against irrespective of religion, field or other institutions.
Killing one's neighbour is a crime but doing so due to beliefs which is not justified under the constitution must be brought to book.
But sadly the people are divided on this issue, Nigeria is a state under democratic rule and we shouldn't forget that DEMOCRACY itself is the government of the people by the people and for the people. So in a situation where some upholds the idea of death penalty carried out through mob action the government will be confused on the step to take because under democratic rule the opinion of the majority comes first not what is right! embarassed
