PREMIER UPDATE : MA, Please what is cervical cancer?

DR MRS NJOKU : Generally, I think we would start with what is cancer. We have cells in our body which we cannot see with our naked eyes, just as our hair flick off, cells flick off, we have new growth. Our cells grow in a coordinated fashion. When they start growing abnormally, they become cancerous. In short form, Cancer is when there is an abnormal growth of cells and when this occurs in the cervix, it is called cervical cancer. So, Cervical cancer is the cancer of the lining of the cervix.
