A Zoo guide was left in extreme pain after he lost his finger to a Lion in the Zoo.

The zoo attendant’s finger was bitten off by a lion at an attraction in St Elizabeth, one of Jamaica’s largest parishes.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday, May 20, 2022.

Visitors who witnessed and filmed the unfortunate incident said that their tour was coming to an end when the zoo attendant in an apparent effort to impress them, attempted to pet the lion.

The Zoo attendant then paid an ultimate price for his action with his right ring finger which was partially bitten off by the Lion after he stuck his hand through the chain-linked lion’s cage
