Heaven Reveals The Power Of Submission by yommyuk: 8:17am On Jul 17, 2011 |
GET RID OF SIN. 1 Peter 4:1 So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must ARM yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. Sometimes in life, we suffer for doing what is right. It is called suffering with/for Christ. All we have done is imitate Christ attitude. Our suffering shows that we are identified with him. I implore you not to worry at all. Those who are identified with Christ will surely experience the victory over the power of sin that Christ won on the cross. What is sin? Who is sin? Who brought sin in the spiritual realm? Romans 6:6 We know that our OLD sinful selves were crucified with Christ, so that sin might lose its power in our lives. (OLD WINE) ---- (NEW WINE) we are no longer slaves to sin. (Amen and Hallelujah to that) We serve the devil no more BUT CHRIST the Son, of the living God. The best wine is being served last. GET RID OF FEAR Fear is the enemy to a commitment of submission. Today too many opt to live together out of wedlock because they refuse to submit to another. They are afraid to make a commitment to submit to another for life. Fear tells us to stand up for our rights and look out for ourselves. Fear encourages an aggressive outward life because we are falling apart on the inside. Fear forces us to pretend and cover up our insecurities while fooling us to believing we are in control. In reality we are running in fear. Let us get rid of the fear of the unknown and focus on the things which we know are true and trustworthy. 1 Peter 5:6-7 So humbly yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honour. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. LET SUBMISSION DEFINE OUR CHARACTER Too many think of submission as an assigned position or role, especially the woman’s role. Submission does not define the role or position God has given us. Submission defines the character of God's assigned role. It makes little difference if we are master or slave, king or subject or husband or wife. It is submission, which elevates us in our roles to the highest position. The character of the person filling any role is of utmost importance. The most submissive person acquires the highest ranking in heaven's sight regardless of the assigned role. Jesus said, "The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." (Matthew 23:11-12) A beautiful life is characterized by submitting ourselves to each other as we place our hope in God. It is the weakness of others that demands our submission to their needs. Refusing to submit to the needs of others diminishes our standing before God and hinders our prayers. Galatians 3:26-29 For you are all children of God thru faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have PUT ON Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, YOU ARE the true CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM. You are his HEIRS, and God’s PROMISE TO ABRAHAM belongs to you. SONG Abraham’s blessings are mine. Abraham’s blessings are mine I am blessed in the morning and blessed in the evening Abraham’s blessings are mine. Hallelujah ! 1 Peter 3:13-14 Now, who will harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead you must worship the Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. KEEP YOUR CONSCIENCE CLEAR. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because YOU BELONG TO CHRIST CHRIST, OUR GREATEST MOTIVATOR TO SUBMIT OURSELVES TO GOD 1 Peter 3:17-18 Remember, it is BETTER to suffer for DOING GOOD, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong! Christ SUFFERED for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you SAFELY HOME TO GOD. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. Therefore brethren, let us kill that flesh that is covering our heart to do that which is not the Will of God. Bring to life the spirit God invested in you by submitting to his Will. 1 Peter 3:9 Don’t repay evil for evil! Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. This is Power! The flesh will want us to focus on the evil the world has done to us. Say No to the flesh and put on the full ARMOR OF GOD. Ignite the breathe of God that is in you and say, “I will bless and not curse”. For he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. (Amen) CONCLUSION Submission is not dealing with our problems from a position of weakness but of power. Submission is the means to exaltation in Christ kingdom. Jesus Christ submitted himself to our direst needs. And now He has gone to Heaven. He is seated in the place of honour next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority. PSALMS 62:5-7 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. HE alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honour come from God alone. HE is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. 2 Timothy 2:19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “all who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. God bless |
