APC Primary: Hon. Sunday Ola Rejects Outcome Of Ekiti Central Federal Constituen by ifebunandujohn(m): 8:54am On May 29, 2022
An aspirant for the seat of the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency One, Hon. Sunday Ola has rejected the outcome of the primary election held on the 27th of May 2022 urging the National Leadership of the party to nullify the process and conduct fresh poll.

Hon. Ola who spoke with newsmen in Ado Ekiti said the so called election was characterized with irregularities just to favour the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Fatoba. According to Hon. Ola, the election was nothing but a charade which should not be accepted by a noble rulling party like the APC which mantra was bringing positive change to the Nigeria Political System.

He said “There was no “primary election” on 26/5/2022 for The state house of assembly as it was inconclusive based on the already tailored and fake delegates list to favour some particular individuals, thus, rendering the election inconclusive on the 26th of May.

“On the 27th of May which is the election day for the House of Representatives in Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun, Ekiti state which I am contesting, the same doctored delegate lists was brought and presented to favour the incumbent.

“The said election of the 27th of May 2022 was conducted by thugs wholly sponsored by the incumbent, the policemen that were brought to maintain peace and orderliness were helpless as these thugs took over the whole electioneering process.

“Members of drivers’ unions were the ones calling delegates names and whom should be voted for while the APC state chapter representatives were helpless.

More seriously, the primary election was supervised by the incumbent, his thugs and his rogues.

“Meanwhile, the
The APC National working committee members that were supposed to be present during the election were absent while we were told by the Ekiti state APC representatives that the delegations were on their way for the conduct of the election from Abuja.

Despite the absence of the NWC (National working committee) from Abuja, the shamble election went ahead as it did not deter the thugs from the continuation of the shamble exercise without the officials’ presence. The thugs took over the affairs and control the whole process that lasted few minutes.

The Ekiti state APC party representatives could not take charge nor hold the fort for the arrival of (NWC) thus leading the thugs beating up whoever is not a delegate on their principal’s list as the real delegates were not allowed to vote as their names were absent from the already tailored lists.

The people that voted were fake delegates. Other aspirants’ agents were not even allowed closed to the venue to monitor the procedure except that of the incumbent. All other aspirants were given a delegate list which was different from that given to the incumbent Ola alleged.

The aspirant urged his lovers to remain calm saying the manipulation and injustice would not stand.
