Following the conclusion of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) primary election and the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party's presidential flagbearer, the Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN) has urged the ruling All Progress Party (APC) to give its ticket without debate to the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, stating that the APC can only triumph in 2023 with a young northerner.

The group revealed that, aside from the governor's achievements, Bello has a better chance of giving APC victory due to the support he is receiving from the teaming Nigerian youths and his geographical advantage as the bridge between the South and North.

According to BAN, Nigerians are no longer interested in giving power to the aged, and Atiku, who is 77 years old, cannot withstand the energies of Nigerian youths.

The group also stated that the APC's leadership should investigate the northern style of politics and their history of election support. According to the group, choosing Yahaya Bello from the North Central will balance the region's marginalization and give people a reason to give the region a chance to produce a president.

The APC is expected to choose a candidate from among Yahaya Bello, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, and others next week.
