It's usually funny when people make political analysis based on their emotions and would even attempt to blackmail you into agreeing to their obviously faulty dreams...

Two days ago, there was a thread on FP where most people said Wike would win the PDP primaries. And some were making useless analysis.

I begin to wonder if these people think Twitter and Nairaland is reality compared to what reality actually is.

Now that Wike lost to Atiku as expected, they started talking about him being betrayed. What a useless excuse to anyone who understands how politics work.

Well, same set of people will tell us Peter Obi will win presidential election grin grin but when he loses, they will say it was rigged grin

I don't understand how people stay comfortable rooting for losers all their lives.

Let me make it clear that at the APC primaries, the APC will either adopt a consensus system by picking Jonathan (if the rumors are true) to battle Atiku at the general elections or Tinubu would win the primaries outrightly.
Amaechi doesn't stand a chance. Not even a second place will fit him.

In all, APC will come out victorious in the general elections.

This isn't emotional analysis but reality

You still haven't learned anything about how the north plays the game of politics. It is a dicey situation for APC.

I would have loved to take you up on this offer if I had $2000. At least ones the APC elects its own presidential candidate.

There is one potential twist you didn't recognise. If Tinubu wins primaries outrightly, it could be a poisoned chalice for the following reasons:
(1)Tinubu will have to pick a Northern Christian, which the North won't like. Because in "case of incasity", a Northern Christian could become president. The North won't like it. Muslim-Muslim ticket won't cut it. This is not 1993. We are too divided now.
(2)The North/cabal won't want a super ambitious person like Tinubu to potentially spend 8 years. It means El-Rufai and other ambitious Northern "young Turks" might miss their chance. They might work against his election victory.

(3) APC is a very loosely aligned election vehicle which Northerners can dismantle secretly to support Atiku to keep power in the North. There is no major event like MKO death in 1998 to make the North want to assuage the South. They can take presidency in 2023 and nothing will happen.

If indeed GEJ is brought in last minute by APC, it will be to have a strong Northern VP to warm up for 2027 while pretending to have a "moral high ground" by saying look, we have rotated power to the South for equity. Unlike PDP that has not. grin cheesy

Emergence of Atiku is a major headache for APC and Tinubu. It has made their maths much more complicated. Wike winning was what Tinubu would have wanted. Of course they would have been planning for this scenario but hoping never to see it happen. That's why they kept postponing APC primaries to see PDP outcome first. A winning and satisfactory primaries outcome will now be difficult for APC. If Tinubu loses primaries, he will work with PDP secretly like he did in 2011. Because neither NNPP nor SDP can give him a good enough platform and structure to win presidency.

And you think Northerners would preferred Tinubu or Jonathan to Atiku?

If truly APC won in 2019, I can categorically tell you it's because of the popularity of Buhari in the north.

If Atiku/Obi had contested against any other persons from any region, they could have won!

Tinubu / Ahmed Lawan or Osinanjo/ can defeat ATiku. Lawan will divide NE vote if buhari puts his bigotry asides NW will be Apc’s , North central is divide already. SW is lockdown for APC . If Wike is not compensated with VP I’ll say South South will be a divided vote also . SE is inconsequential Dey don’t turn out In mass to vote , I believe that’s why Atiku did not want to go with peter Obi again.

The game changer here is Buhari nothing more nothing less. If he decides to play the Northern game Tinubu will decamp. APC will loose, power will still return back to the North.

For me personally I don’t want power to go back to the North because these Fulani miscreants will continue their killings with impunity but If power comes South their liver will drop drastically.
