Technical parameters.
Ultraviolet light from sunlight is the main factor that causes damage to the durability performance of most materials. We use UV lamps to simulate the short-wave UV portion of sunlight, which produces little visible or infrared spectral energy. We can choose different wavelengths of UV lamps for different testing requirements, as each lamp differs in total UV irradiation energy and wavelength. Usually, UV lamps can be divided into two types: UVA and UVB.

2, UV lamp types
UVA-340 lamps: UVA-340 lamps can simulate the short-wave UV light in sunlight extremely well, i.e., the wavelength range from 365 nm to the sunlight cutoff point of 295 nm.
UVB-313 lamps: UVB-313 lamps emit short-wave UV light that is more intense than the sun's UV light that normally hits the earth's surface, thus accelerating material aging to a large extent. However, the lamps may cause unrealistic damage to some materials. UVB-313 lamps are primarily used for quality control and research and development, or to run tests on extremely weather-resistant materials.





3、Humid condensing environment

In many outdoor environments, materials can be wet for up to 12 hours per day. Studies have shown that the main factor causing this outdoor moisture is dew, not rain. The unique condensation feature is used to simulate outdoor moisture erosion. During the condensation cycle of the test, water in the reservoir at the bottom of the test chamber is heated to produce hot steam that fills the entire chamber. The hot steam maintains the relative humidity in the test chamber at 100% and maintains a relatively high temperature. The specimen is fixed to the side wall of the chamber so that the test side of the specimen is exposed to the ambient air in the chamber. The outward facing side of the specimen is exposed to the cooling effect of the natural environment, resulting in a temperature difference between the inner and outer surfaces of the specimen, which results in the presence of condensed liquid water on the test surface throughout the condensation cycle.

Since outdoor exposure to moisture can last up to ten hours per day, a typical condensation cycle typically lasts several hours. Two moisture simulation methods are provided. The most applied method is the condensation method, which is a good way to simulate outdoor moisture erosion. All models can run a condensation cycle. Because some applications also require the use of water sprays to achieve realistic results, some can run both condensation and water spray cycles.

4. Temperature Control
In each cycle, the temperature can be controlled at a set value. At the same time the blackboard thermometer can monitor the temperature. The increase in temperature can accelerate the aging process, and at the same time, the temperature control is important for the reproducibility of the test

5、Water spraying system
For some applications, water spray can better simulate the use of environmental conditions. Water spray in the simulation of thermal shock or mechanical erosion due to drastic changes in temperature and due to rainfall is very effective. Under certain practical application conditions, such as sunlight, when the gathered heat is rapidly dissipated due to sudden rain showers, the temperature of the material will change dramatically, resulting in thermal shock, which is a test for many materials. The water spray can simulate thermal shock and/or stress corrosion.
The shower system has 12 nozzles, six on each side of the test chamber; the shower system can run for a few minutes and then shut down. This short spray of water quickly cools the sample and creates thermal shock conditions.

6、Irradiation intensity control: optional
The optional irradiance control option provides accurate and repeatable test results; the light intensity control system allows the user to set different light intensities for different test requirements.
