It's a shame, that southern politicians have taken to seeing their northern counterparts as gods. They throw shame, their honour and integrity out of the window if it will secure them favour in the north.

From the so called "BAT" who licked Buhari's arse, even when he could clearly see after 4 years that Buhari was not deserving of a 2nd term based on his performance. Also quick to run to the north to donate millions and commiserate with them when required but couldn't find his way to even nearby Oyo to commiserate with them when the herdsmen conflict made hundreds homeless. It was a thug Sunday Igboho, the risked his safety to fight for them. Thankfully Oyo is now peaceful.

to the yahoo pastor "Osibanjo" who sat and conferred with Buhari to unleash some of the most disastrous policies this country has seen, sending many to poverty, massive skilled labour migration and massive insecurity. He was the one that was sent to buy votes using N5,000 (https://guardian.ng/news/osinbajo-debunks-claim-tradermoni-is-used-for-vote-buying/), when it was clear buhari's disastrous 1st term would not earn him a second term base on merit.....if you doubt it was vote buying , let Osibanjo present the amount of loan collected back or even any decent effort made to collect it , if that was at all the true intention (https://businessday.ng/news/article/fg-cant-recover-n10bn-tradermoni-but-to-begin-2nd-tranche-disbursement-farouq/)

The likes of Amechi, Okorocha and career opportuntist, I wont waste my time explaining they are traitors to their people. They say one thing at the back but as the 2 above, lack the courage to stand on it (https://punchng.com/amaechi-criticises-buhari-in-leaked-audio/)

For all the noise made about the population and the concentration of its political and military might there, money is what runs the economy and the south brings that to the table (>80% of all revenues and >95% of foreign earnings). No military or political forces from beyond can keep that money on the table if the politicians in the south do not agree to it.

The south remains the heart of nigeria's industrial capacity, with a high concentration of skilled labour and disaporans whose skilled would be available

None of Nigeria's significant event would have happen without some significant consent from the south:

- the civil war would not have been won if it was left to the north alone
-as BAT alluded, even Buhari would not have won if it was left to the North alone. This is true for every election (Wike generating over a million vote for Jonathan's failed attempt (hook or crook) shows the south can also generate these sometimes outrightly bogus numbers (>95% for Jonathan). These miracles cannot only happen in Kano.
- the only reason nigeria actually exists as a political right now is the funds to keep sharing have been steady even when the north who claim to hold the political aces have not brought much to the table.

See Wike as an example:

If 1/2 of the south's political elites put their people first the way Wike has done, the South would not be playing second fiddle to the North.

If most politicians put their people first the way Wike has done, the south would have been the power bastion it naturally is. Unfortunately, we have weak and treacherous leaders who betray their people to get power by any means

I have no sympathy for BAT or which even token southern politician is used to balance the equation nd be a placeholder for the north who would still control power from behind the scenes. The only victims here are the people of the south who have been failed time and time again by their leaders

The south were not betrayed.
To the elites, there's nothing like regionalism or tribalism.
The only thing they understand is interest.
Atiku made more political friends than wike hence the reason he won.
Wike won kano delegates as well as having a major say in Katsina, why are people not calling those northerners betrayer?
It's politics and wike should be more great full that he pulled so much vote at the first time of asking.
That's guts.

Can only if the South was united the way the North is.
