The age of 50 is one age that is widely regarded as the beginning of old age and it is actually the beginning of old age. At this stage of your life, it is important for people to note that most organs starts to get weaker and the immune system of the body deteriorates rapidly.


The age of 60 is generally regarded as old age and it is important that people start knowing the things that are best for their health. This is why in this article, I will be talking about tips on how to live healthy after clocking age 60 according to healthline.com

1. Make exercise a priority


It is highly suggsted that older people above the age of 60 to watch the level of exercise which they engage in. This is mostly because exercise plays a very important role in protecting the immune system abs general health of the body.

It is important for people to engage in simple exercises such as walking, running, cycling and even swimming for those who knew how to swim from a young age.

2. Manage a good diet
is suggested by a lot if experts for most older people to manage and maintain a good diet. Good diet includes eating foods that are rich in all the necessary nutrients needed for proper health of the body.

Eating fruits, fishes, vegetables, natural spices and healthy lean protein is best for your health as you grow older in age.

3. Watch your mental health

It is also important that as you watch your general body that your mental health is among. Studies suggest that most older people avoid things that could affect them mentally such as the ones that could cause dementia.

Some of these things include smoking and staying alone for long hours. This is why it is suggested that most oder individuals visit and live with their loved ones as much as they can.

4. Manage your stress

It is important for of older people to cut down on their stress. This is mostly because stress is one of the major causes of a lot to of chronic health conditions which older people suffer from.

Managing your stress could help in preventing diseases such as dementia, heart related conditions and even stroke.

5. Stop smoking and quit alcohol consumption


It is highly recommended that a lot of older people remove smoking as a thing to do. This is because smoking could affect the heart and brain health. It could naturally speed up your chances of dieing younger.
