That is because he knows he won't win, in a free and fair primaries. Some of his comments during the live interview, especially about Tinubu was quite funny. If someone doesn't say anything either in support or denial of a position on consensus doesn't make it binding. At the place where it really mattered, which was during the screening, the aspirant had clearly stated his position. Him further talking up the VP's law credentials as a way of putting a full stop to the matter was just baffling jare. Even if Buhari anoints an aspirant, whoever such aspirant may be, they should all go into the field and test their popularity. After all, the anointing should count or shouldn't it? |
