JUST IN: Bandit’s invade Abuja estate, kidnap residents

Suspected bandits in the early hours of Monday June 6, 2022 attacked Efab Mini-Estate inside the bigger Genuine Estate in the Federal Capital Territory and operated from 1am to 4am before abducting several residents of the estate.

Sources disclosed that the bandits who were in large number, gained access to Genuine Estate after Efab Queens on 6th Avenue, Gwarinpa and attacked the residents, brandishing bows, arrows, and machetes.
Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, DSP Josephine Adeh when contacted said the case was probably a robbery case not a kidnapping case.

She however said operatives of the Command have been deployed to the scene to ascertain how the incident happened, adding that the public would be duly notified after details of the incident had been ascertained.

Lawmaker identifies those behind massacre

The representative of Owo Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olayemi Adeyemi, has alleged that herdsmen were responsible for the killing of worshippers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state.

“This is a reprisal attack to send a diabolical message to the Governor.”

Gunmen had invaded the church on Sunday, using guns and explosives to cut down over 50 worshippers, including children.

Adeyemi said the attack was a reprisal for the decision of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to send away Fulani pastoralists from the area.

He said: “Fulani herdsmen entered our community and started shooting.

“They killed about 28 people and dozens were severely injured.

We have dozens of injured people at Federal Medical Centre, Owo and I am on my way there now to see the victims.

“We have enjoyed improved security since herdsmen were driven away from our forests by this administration.

“This is a reprisal attack to send a diabolical message to the Governor.”

My brother what do you want nigerians to do again?...we always have to be responsible for own security because our government cant protect us upon all the protests of endsars and the likes and the cycle just continues...and the naira just keeps devaluing...people are now being more realistic to know that there is no hope for this country no matter what...we cant live together...this is crazy
