Those who have been there know very much how easier it is to live here than there .. Even the weather is far better but our government is our major project , let's be cursing wicked men in power .. Let God visit them with terrible judgement. The men in power in Naija are very mean and wicked.. 1 Like |

Greedy Nigerians will complain of Nigeria and they will finally travel to Obodo oyinbo and starts earning in hard currencies, next minutes they starts complaining and converting their expenditures to Naira as if they are making their money in Naira abroad . Greedy people complain everywhere they go . Bros how much do you make monthly if you convert it to Naira ,am sure you make up to 2 million Naira monthly. How many Nigerians make up to that monthly in Nigeria ? Besides 600k -900k CANT rent a very good 3bedroom in a good location in Lagos . 3BD in My area is up to 4 million - 5millio. naira yearly excluding other hidden charges such as Security levy ,estate maintenance levey ,Generator levy etc . The UK is one absolutely crazy and unforgiving place. We've been looking for accommodation for 4 weeks now without success. After submission of application and viewings, landlords will give us a negative response with the comment: "Sorry children are not allowed". Like WTF?!!! 1 Like |

2022 Minimum wage in the UK is £9.50 for people over the age of 23. According to tax calculation, monthly take home pay from a minimum wage job working 40 hours weekly is £1,417.75. If you have a wifey working part-time (also at minimum wage), that's £2126.625. So even if you or you and your spouse flip burgers or make chicken and chips (unskilled work), you can still manage your bills. If you can't, the UK has public assistance programs to reduce your rent. 2 Likes |

Myati: You don't know who I am mate. Relax. It isn't a projection abeg. This is standard pay. I am a specialist in my field, and I am in the medical field. I have paid my dues in Nigeria and now its time to move. People I trained have moved, mine is just 3 months from now. Did you just say CEO? Lol... go and find out what real CEOs make. Even some CEOs in Nigeria make up to 400m per year. In 2020 GTbank's CEO was paid 399m. Guy, you dey dull oo... People are hitting it big with genuine hard work and you are here talking nonsense. While we chat on Nairaland, many are actually serious with their lives and moving on. |

Hmmm, cost of living may be high but so also is cost of earnings now, if not general standard of living would have been lower than what we have here now |
