I insisting on consensus candidate? They should just allow every Dick, Jack and Harry to have a fair contest. Though very expensive and cumbersome, the Direct Primaries is the best bet.

The country is in a mess already anyways

The way these northern governors are over dramatizing their socalled support for southern president is suspicious. It all looks like they are playing game by always yelling and brandishing their much vaunted support for a "Southern president" in front of the television cameras, while they're busy clearing every obstacle for the sole northern candidate in the APC, Lawan. The more you look , the less you see. These governors are in bed with Buhari. If you seriously believe that northern governors will seriously rise up against Buhari to fight for the interest of the South, after most of them openly derided the issue of "zoning", then you are living in a fools paradise.

Sorry no one is living in fool paradise bro. Didn't you heard Buhari refused to consented Lawan? If Lawan were to be someone else likely Buhari might consented to his choice but naturally Buhari don't want the guy somehow for a reason best known to him.

Moreso the Northern are acting in faith to whatever agreement they had in 2015 which they kept as secret between them and the South members of the party it is apparent that any arttempt to forcfully inject Northern candidate will tear apc apart no two ways about that bro.

Yeye Bella or whatever was warned not to waste his time but ne er listened. Nigeria want youth president but unfortunately its not yeye Bella.

With the recent attackedin Owo and the incessant attack by herdsmen in SE and Buhar nepotism sorry North should never continue from Buhari, moreso we can't have North in pdp and at the same time North in apc bro is not one.

If Obi was a bit patient in pdp this would have change the whole narrative but unfortunately he listened to wrong advise and joined a wrong party with two party chairmen, two presidential cadidate, party with no single state under ther control nor any local government its very unfortunate and a serious political suicide. Labour can never even be in third place come 2023 talkless of winning the presidency.

Read and digest my post, deduce the political stand view in it than being too emotional. Facts remain fact bro. Failure to back any South by the North today will end apc mark my word.

One of the sensible comments seen and read on NL on politics. Elections aren't won on the social media..

People should come out and vote their
candidates. Here in lagos, there's going to be a great change next year and we mean it. Enough of imposition of candidates . The new electoral act (as amended) will prevent ballot box snatching which has aways been ther last resort and rigging strategy. It's high time people's choice prevailed over imposition of candidates. You can challenge them if they fail to perform or even remove them. We're getting there gradually.

If they don't talk openly, you'll complain that they have agenda that they should talk openly and clear the air. If the APC Northern governors were interested, people like El Rufai and Zulum would have bought forms. They honorably stepped down in this. It is left for the South to get their acts together.

The APC Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello from within and outside his party, the All Progressive Congress has remained steadfast in his ambition.

Bello, who is said to be facing various conspiracies, has remained one of the APC's potential flag bearer stll today, refusing to withdraw from the 2023 presidential race.

On Monday , ahead of the party's primary election, the governor walked out of a meeting of northern governors suspected of pushing a selfish agenda. He had stated several times that anyone elected president should be chosen on the basis of competence, regardless of religion or region.

The North wants a Southern APC candidate so that it won't divide their votes for a Northern president in PDP.

The North prioritizes power regardless the party that brings it their way...

Let's keep watching!

They are not playing a game

Northerners are genius when it comes to politics

They want a Southerner to contest against Atiku and probably lose the election.

This is better than Adamu's plan of Lawan which is still going to lead to a loss but the party will implode.

I don't know how you guys think, but let me ask this question; if northerners cannot vote southerners, how do you expect southerners to vote northerners. You conclude that a southerner will loose to Atiku, how! Last time I checked for you to become the president of Nigeria, you have to win majority of the votes and 25% in ⅔ of the states plus FCT. You expect Atiku to win in the South but you don't expect a southerner to win in the North! The 13 APC governors plus the president will be campaigning for the APC candidate.

From my own view I think apc don’t want to loose the seat to pdp and last year I clearly remember radio talk about power being in the north. Atiku and who ever is coming in apc will have to fight the battle but I know it will be difficult for the north to release power to the south

One thing you must know is that Buhari will NEVER hand over to somebody he didn't pick! Whether it's the PDP or the APC that wins, it will have little to do with your PVC but with Buharis ruthless drive to impose his choice. Buhari is not Mr Dogood Jonathan Goodluck! And Buharis choice must be a northerner! Buharis worldview revolves around the North and The North alone! Buhari will NEVER hand over to a southerner! Keep this in mind! Irrespective of who wins The APC convention.. Buhari will rather allow Atiku win than hand over to these southerners. Let's watch and see.

Please what can your 1 PVC do in a country of 200 million people?
If you can't influence and mobilise hundreds of thousands to see the world as you see it and vote accordingly in your LGA, state and federal elections for lawmakers and the executive, what is your worth, if not inconsequential
You fail to realise that his post can motivate others to get their own PVC and vote for the right candidate.
Remember, 200million people begins with 1 person

Stop all these conspiracy theories. These Northern governors are the ones standing between Buhari/Adamu and their agenda, they're the only one stumbling block that southern aspirants are relying upon. If not for them, it would been over already for the south. They deserve our commendations because their intention is pure. Just that their opponents (Buhari/Adamu/Aso Rock cabals) are strong.
