People use social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others to network and communicate with one another. It also allows users to share and create content, which can help in the business aspect of Nigeria. There are a lot of ways in which social media has helped in growing businesses in our country, Nigeria, which could improve that business brand.
These impacts include the following:
• increase in brand awareness
Social media now makes it easy for businesses to create business accounts, which helps that business brand by increasing its awareness in a way that a business brand can now create paid ads, post their product online, make mention of their brand name in other similar brand posts, etc. By doing all this, that business brand is sure to get a lot of followers, which would increase the awareness of that specific brand. With the increase of followers, that brand is sure to get a lot of sales if and only if they are able to convince their audience to buy their product.
• increase in revenue growth
In Nigeria, social media helps in the revenue growth of some businesses in a way that businesses can sell lots of their products through social media by posting them online and getting a lot of engagement. Those who have engaged with that brand's post about their product are likely to click the "call to action" button. When the audience clicks on this button, the only thing left for that business brand to do is to convince the audience to buy their brand product, which would surely increase the revenue of that business brand.
• Increase in traffic
Business brands in Nigeria can use social media to drive traffic to their brand websites in many ways.
1. Constant posting: If a business brand posts frequently with an interesting write-up and a link to their website,
This could help them generate more traffic to their website to read the remainder of the post.
the content of their writeup.
2. Use of influencers: Influences are online celebrities. They usually have a lot of followers on social media. An influencer has the power to influence most of their followers to go on a business brand's website by doing an advertisement for that business brand.
3. A business brand can participate actively in a social media group, which could allow an audience to notice the brand and check on their website.
By doing all this, a company is sure to get more traffic to their website, which would help that website grow more.
• Boost brand engagement
Engagement is the second top reason a business use social media, And research have found out that social media interaction improve a business brand perception, Loyalty, and word of mouth recommendation. A business believes that users will be more interested in seeing high-quality content. Social media has helped a lot of businesses grow in Nigeria by allowing them to post their business products online either by using paid ads or by posting them normally, which are all sources of advertisement.
