Fulham is eyeing Bernd Leno as one of their alternatives as they strive to assemble a squad capable of competing in the Premier League next season. The 30-year-Arsenal old’s contract expires in a year, and Leno would be Fulham’s first summer acquisition.

Fulham, who were just promoted to the Premier League, are in negotiations with Arsenal about signing goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to Sky Sports News.

The German international’s contract has 12 months left on it, but he has been on the perimeter since Aaron Ramsdale arrived at Emirates Stadium in August 2021.

Leno joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018, quickly establishing himself as the Gunners’ first choice before being dethroned by Ramsdale last season.

In 2021/22, the 30-year-old made a total of eight appearances, only four of which were in Premier League action. He also played in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup four times.

Matt Turner, a goalkeeper from the United States, will join Arsenal from the New England Revolution on July 1 to compete with Ramsdale.
