@Ajileko Anybody remember back then the "owo Udoji" I remember Dad coming home and braging of additional pay check he recieved. I think it is like a bonus pay for all govetnment workwers. Mom was really happy though. "Owo Udoji" your father was refering to is the pay rise recommended by the Udoji commission in the 70s i think as part of the civil service reform process. I dont have all the facts in my head but my father told me about it too. I think there was another civil service reform commission headed by Ojetunji Aboyade too am not sure if its the same with the Udoji process. |

We need realize that most Nigerians at that time were still living in their rural villages. Of course the cities were not as populated as we find them now. |
