Alliance Française & Trace Tv To Celebrate World Music Day On June 19 by JMORak: 6:47pm On Jun 15, 2022
Alliance Française Lagos, in partnership with Trace Tv, is set to launch a music concert to celebrate World Music Day on the 19th of June, 2022.

The concert is to hold at the Alliance Française Lagos/ Mike Adenuga Centre on 9 Osborne Road, Ikoyi by 2 pm.

According to the Alliance Française de Lagos Director, Marc Brébant, the World Music Day Concert is a celebration of all things related to music as it will feature performances from prominent and upcoming acts and promises to be fun and exciting.

FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE originated in France in 1982 and is celebrated on the 21st of June every year to promote music and honour the musicians and singers for the gift of music, which gives flight to the imagination and life to everything. It was predicated on the basis that a world without music would have no meaning to many hence the day is a celebration of the power of this art.

La Fête de la Musique takes place mostly in public outdoor spaces, and it's free to everyone. Due to its popularity, other countries started celebrating music day, and as of 2017, it was celebrated in over 120 countries.
