pls mods shud take note of dis! I keep receivin emails from unknown persons claimin to hav gotten my email from NL. Pls oo i'm nt interested in any visual or internet thingy, abeg make unu free me now oo!

this is a serious matter, thanks to d OP for raisin dis issue, i've bn plannin to do same as well, i hid my email from d general public but i wonder how these unscrupulous elements still manage to get my email.

I used to have my email on my Nairaland profile as well, until I started receiving emails from all sorts of shady lady-like characters who told me they got hold of it from Nairaland. I have long since removed my email from here. Nairaland provides me with an opportunity to engage in topical discourse; I am not here to make friends (male or female), neither am I interested in online romance (at my age?!). I have got enough friends and quality s/e?x in the real world, rather than waste time looking for such trivialities on here!

^^Well said. There are many shady characters online who hide behind the annonimity of their computers. And lurking for unwary victims.
