uzorp77: @all, please does anybody understand the salary structure? What does TFSS mean and what is the nature of this job that is causing so much ripples in naija?

There are two major departments for the new in-takes.

1. Administration
2. Enforcement

The "Admin" usually is the internal system running the day to day operations of NSITF in conjuction with other arms of the Ministry of Labour and other parastatals like Pension Trust Fund @ Labour House, CBD, Abuja usually processing one thing or the other (depending on the requests put forward).

The Admin / Operations is a huge department, because of the different areas covered like Accounting, IT, Legal, HR, etc and depending on the state branch you are posted, you may not really understand the size and the relationship between branches, because NSITF is a parastatal.

But here in Abuja, the relationship is clear.

Enforcement is the real reason why you were employed. Enforcement is the new focus of the NSITF because the covering Ministry of Labour under which you operate needs to generate revenue with NSITF.

Those who are in the Enforcement arm will be officers who go out to bring in the reforms and the revenue. It does not mean you are police officers, it only means you are to bring in revenue from various areas such as are stated in the NSITF Act:

a) Contributions by members under the contributory components of the scheme;
b) A percentage deduction from the Consolidated
Revenue Fund;
c) A percentage deduction from Value Added Tax
(VAT);
d) A percentage of Excess Crude Oil proceeds;
e) Excess profit (above the average cost of capital
and an allowance for a reasonable rate of return on
investment; to be reviewed annually);
f) Unclaimed dividends after stipulated number of
years;
g) Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) funds and similar intervention funds;
h) Percentage of Excise Duty;
i) Contribution from the statutory allocations to the
state and Local Governments

Some of these areas are already taken care of internally, but the ones that are problem-areas where officers need to work upon will be the job of the day. Officers may be working in groups as the case may be.

Some people have insulted me here.
We shall see!
I hope the answers are clear enough now.
Cheers.

Pretty obvious!
There's nobody requiring treatment.
What do you think nurses / doctors would do?
Same as other employees.
