Is There Really A "Right Way To Live"? by Haylel: 2:58pm On Jun 19, 2022 |
Caveat: The critical-thinking that might erupt from reading this post may run you mad. Thread carefully. Over the years, I've gone more philosophical and attended to matters without emotions. I have gotten upset with the rise of immature teenagers getting ill-gotten wealth because of how much it was affecting the society I live in . I have gotten upset over how girls have gone crazily materialistic, attention-seekers, sexually pervert and crazily immoral as a result of funds from the immature teens above. I cringe a lot at gayism, lesbianism and all the sexual craze raging widely in the west. I tackle anyone and argue vehemently that were sick and abnormal. But then, I asked my self - why so much annoyance? Why am I vexed at all this? Is it because of my Christian affiliation? Am I sticking to morals? That made me pondered and wonder - how should a man live? What ought a man to do with the little time he has in this passing world? My first answer was: A man ought to live by the principles of God so he can gain eternal life. But then I asked, if there was no eternal life to be gained, if there was no life after death, if all we become are stories and archives in history after our last breath, is living by some principles really worth it? Now, my answer changed: If there was no eternal life, I think I would have lived for myself, not for God, not for the society but myself. For in that scope, all we are and all we do is vanity, vanity upon vanity (Just as Solomon realized later in life). If you do good, it's all vanity because your goodness will have no benefit for you when you leave the world. If you do evil, it's still all vanity because your evil has no benefit or disservice after you leave the world. What gives me joy is having sex with multiple women everyday, then in the reality of no after life, I think will get an harem and satisfy my sexual lust all I want. If what gives me happy is making people scream for mercy while I cut through the flesh on their neck with my sharp knife, then I think I will be a serial killer. If what gives me joy is sleeping with animals and same gender, I would have doggy-styled an ape, spooned a fellow gee and cow girl-ed a goat. Because it won't matter in the end, you will die and I will die. But in the last moment of my death, i will relish living a fulfilled life of enjoy people's scream while I slaughtered them mercilessly. Being Evil has no reward. All its reward is vanity. Being good has no reward. All its reward is vanity. So, if there really is no afterlife, regardless of if the society likes how I roll or not, the right way to live will be to "live life how I want to" , not how the society or how God wants. This, is the real bliss to everyone (from an individual point of view) but a CHAOS to the world (from a general view point). 1 Like |

From how far humans have come, people realized that the best life to live (since nothing is worth it) will be living only for yourself. If you want your neighbor's dress, beat him and get it. If you want his ass, bend him over and have it. Why? Well, you wouldn't lose anything if you didn't do it, so why not just get on with satisfying all that your being and existence desires? But this is chaos and chaos is vanity. People resorted to forming similar culture that warps a man to live his life within the confines, and this has helped humanity grow. This is orderliness, but even orderliness is vanity. For a man lose nothing if he causes chaos and satisfies himself, neither does he gain anything if he supresses his satisfaction for orderliness. So, there's no difference after all, from ancient times, whether by chaos or by orderliness, humans should have lived their lives how they wanted. For there is no right way to live. Follow the govt and you won't live with the intensity you want till death takes you. Follow your desires and you may not live long, but what difference is it? If you live 33 years satisfying yourself or if you live 69 years satisfying the society? Life is worthless, and all is vanity. 1 Like 1 Share |

immortalcrown:It's a long post of philosophical rants by someone who finally realized Solomon's woes as he penned down Ecclesiastes. For those who over thinks it, it messes up one's mind just as it messed Solomon himself up. |

When you ask Jesus, sincerely, to be your Lord and savior, then you have given the holy spirit permission to come and live inside of you . That's how to be born and that's the best way to live |

What is good? What is evil? What is right? What is wrong? If an entity like God does not exist, then there is nothing like morals. There is nothing like laws and certainly nothing like karma. If there is no law, if there is no divide, then nothing is right, and nothing is wrong. No difference between killing a baby or feeding a baby. No difference between the one who spares life and the one who gives life. No difference between the corrupt politician and a pure politician. For what is wrong to you is right to me, and what is right to me is wrong to you. Without a deity like God and without an after life, existence is chaos and living is only worth living while living. |

Finally, living is as worthwhile as much as it is as worthless if there is no afterlife. While worthwhile, life should be lived to the highest intensity of how you want to live it (Though, even this is vanity) Also, evil is as worth much as good. Dare I say, it is worth much more than good. Evil and good are twin you cannot separate, for we cannot say for certain what evil is and what good is. |

Haylel:You started off on an if, but somehow during the course of the discussion you had with yourself, you somehow leapt to conclude the initial if instead a fact all so you could reach your desired conclusion and final claim. No be juju be that? |

Laws are needed so that we live in peace..and have a more fulfilling life... “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalms 19:7 KJV |

Kobojunkie: I reached mi conclusion solely based on rationality. "If...then..." Is as old as logic n critical thinking itself. |
Re: Is There Really A "Right Way To Live"? by Kobojunkie: 11:16am On Sep 22, 2022 |
Haylel:What rationality? Here's a question then, is your conclusion then that there is no eternal life. |

Kobojunkie:My conclusion is that, if there were no afterlife, then all is vanity. If there were no afterlife, a good man fares no better than a bad man, and Abraham fares no better than Hitler. |

Haylel: I understand your presentation and if I were stupid, I would have said it was a beautiful write up, which we have all thought about and landed exactly where you landed. But that is because when people are thinking, they are always forgetting one big detail, which is, you did not create yourself. And just like your phone, car and pot, you are therefore Owned! And if owned, therefore, we under Law and Authority! But people love to think that they are completely and absolutely free and of course even hate being under Authority |
Re: Is There Really A "Right Way To Live"? by Haylel: 5:31pm On Sep 22, 2022 |
Dtruthspeaker: Likewise, I understand your position too. The big detail you speak of, i considered it too. If I were under authority and the fact still remains that my wick will burn out forever after I sip my last breath, then It pays to live life free rather than agonize in the shackles of authority. Everything in religion makes sense only because innit is the belief that there is a new world that perishes not after this one. |

Haylel: The bold shows that you have not completed your class in understanding the Powers of a Creator. For no Camry or iPhone or pot can die forever, without its Creator sending it there. Plus, a Landcruiser or Nokia 3310 will live forever because their creators will it so. It is a Creator who has that ultimate power of "You can not die or live without my permission". I don't think you have considered this area. Haylel: If in that new world a circumstance does not arise which may cause The Creator to change His Plans just as He did in this one, which is no issue for me for I plan to live forever with my Creator no matter His plans. |
Re: Is There Really A "Right Way To Live"? by Haylel: 7:22pm On Sep 22, 2022 |
Dtruthspeaker:There was an "If" before the statement you bolded. We are not sure of an afterlife. If we are sure there was none, there is no difference if you live like Abraham or live like Hitler. By the words of mouth, one can even proclaim himself a god. It's easy to say "If there were no afterlife, I will still live the total Christian Life" ... However, how many there be that will stick to their guns if they actually face that reality? So, it all makes sense only because we have faith in an afterlife. |
Re: Is There Really A "Right Way To Live"? by Dtruthspeaker: 6:47am On Sep 23, 2022 |
Haylel: And I have just shown you that there is after life and forever living because, you now know that it is impossible to de-exist without the permission of your Creator. So what we call death is just you waiting in another place for your Creator to decide (Judge) your next movement, like my dead phones in my cupboard (grave). Haylel: Sure. That power was given to you. And you are already a god. A god over your phones and cars and pots etc whether you proclaim it or not. Haylel: That is because you have gone back to think that you own yourself and the world, like a phone thinking it has no owner therefore, it can do whatever it likes in its carton or shop. |
