Almost everyone knows minimum wage has never been the basis for determining whether there's economic prosperity or not in Nigeria or not.

Minimum wage in Nigeria has always been a product of how the labour leaders can drag government and how benevolent the government wants to be. It's not like minimum wage determines anything in this country. I won't be drawn into a pointless argument of multiplying minimum wage by any multiplier and measuring school fees with it.

As for Akpabio school fees, those attended school during his time should know. I don't .

The crux of the matter is; those wanting to do away with subsidy on education have enjoyed it themselves, they do not wish to cut government's frivolous spendings but think the common man should understand. That's insensitivity if u ask me

Minimum wage is an indicator of the purchasing power of the people. A worker who earns 10000 can only spend 10000

Whether its in 1970 or 1990 or 2023.

Its the money people earned that they will use to pay school fees, A minimum wage worker in my time used 8 times of his salary to send his kid to Ife, you think that was easy for him?

You see why your argument is not supported by numbers but by emotions. I can go ask my uncle you bought a brand new car for N1500 so why cant I but a car with N1500 today

I have simply told you where the bulk of the increment fell on.

School uniforms and Text books. The FG no dey produce cloth or print books.

So, i ask you again, where is the fee for JSS2?

Why are you dodging that one?
You enrolled a child in a Unity school last year and paid 45k, you want to enrol another this year and you are told to pay 100k. Is it justifiable to increase fees, when like you said earlier today that salaries have not been increased? Was it not the fuel subsidy removal that led to increase in cost of books and uniform? Since no more subsidy and Govt revenue has tripled, why have they not increase salaries to help family cope with the increase in fees?

Maybe it would, the removal (whether fully or partial) led to increase in school fees. That increase was not justified at the time...

Why was the increase not justified and when would the increase be justified?

We have inflation in everything, bread even cost more than it did 2yrs ago, beans cost, transport cost but you think education will remain the same?

If you cannot be truthful on a faceless discussion, i wonder how it would be in reality.

You saw me talk about presidency, but you don smuggle VP inside.

Maybe he was trying to be President in the last 5 years on your PS5, but definitely not in Nigeria

Many of you like to talk with double mouth, who wrote the below highlighted👇

At no point, was i waiting for any judiciary.

I already declared Obi the biggest winner in this election; On his own, he garnered 6 million on his first try. Tinubu spent 16 years to end up with 8 million.

And i don't know the grief there; Unless, there is some sort of subsidy for APC supporters this morning, every common Nigerian is in grief.
You calculated 16 years for Bola but it is wrong to calculate 5 years for Obi.

Increase that happened due to removal of fuel and other subsidies, so when will Govt increase salaries of workers to help them cope with increase of everything in the country?

You are beginning to deviate from your own argument.

I have not defended the FG on what they used the savings for.

I simply told you that the bulk of the 100k rested on uniforms and books; something the FG have no control over, and it is a one time payment.

Why are you not showing us the fees for JSS2 to SS3? That one does not suit your agenda, shey?

Obi left PDP for LP and got 6 million.

Tinubu has been building for AC to APC and got 8 million.

What is your point, again? Because you are starting to make my point for me

Obi left PDP for LP has the name of Obi changed? So if he wins the election under new party LP he will no longer be called or addressed as Peter Obi just because he left PDP?

Without fuel subsidy removal was price of commodity in market static?

Govt is working on salary increase and several state govt have started reeling out their own palliatives

Do you know what it means to leave a place with structure and go to a place without one?

No Senator
No HOR
No nothing.

Ask Kwankwaso what his eyes saw in February.

Suddenly, it is a cake walk to get 6 million in less than a year

Rest, abeg. This back and forth dey tiring

What's funny is the fact that all of the new government's policies (both good and bad) will affect all Obidients, Batists, Atikulators and Kwankwasorians in equal measure. I sincerely hope he becomes the best President we ever have. 🙂
That's it. We just have to hope he does well because there won't be strength for I told you so or this isn't who u voted for if our necks become thinner and bills become more daunting to foot. All of us just have to hope the end result will be better than what we're currently facing for the sake of our present and future. We don't have any choice except there's one personal miracle in our lives waiting somewhere.

@ Afrodoc, are you watching Les Bleus..

God, I can't wait for when Deschamps will be out as coach of Les Bleus! Why is Saliba on the bench for Lucas/ Upamecano? None of these CBs are better than Saliba. I can understand Lucas as LCB but Upamecano over Saliba? That is a travesty!

Giroud, if I am to be fair and honest. Giroud provides some balance to our attack, especially since we have Mbappe and Dembele attacking from both sides. Giroud also has great holdup play, stronger physically and a threat aerially.

With Thuram we are more fluid with better movement and penetration but you have to realize this team is built around Mbappe who is able to do the same thing Thurman does if he chooses to play from the middle.

Giroud turns 37 by the end of the month and is on his last cycle for the National team. Thuram will get more minutes.
