raumdeuter: You mean like keying the nuclear codes, abeggii you are just whining us, many president fly commercial so this excuse doesn't fly, especially for a govt that is broke and that information has been leaking since it's inception. Oga Dayo, is Nigeria broke or not? In truth Tinubu never promised curbing wastefulness, nor did I believe he is capable based on his past, if it was Peter Obi making this move I would have been shocked. However I expected him to grow our income so the wastefulness would not be glaring. The suggestion of him using his personal private jet or flying commercial is better optics than purchasing a new aircraft in midst of current suffering. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Olowunl01: Yes many president fly commercial but its not optimal, If it is then there will be zero need for any country to fly commercial, There will be no need for official residence there will be no need for official vehicles when they can just use their personal assets It will be better optic fr him to be living in Boudillon too and be driving a Micra So why do you think almost every country still have official cars, houses and planes for their leader Why will you be shocked about a wasteful Peter Obi that bought 400 SUVs for traditional rulers? Or you believe those lies like the one he said about owning 1 wristwatch? |

raumdeuter:Ontop Tinubu matter, I can never win you😂😂😂 Bro, am actually not surprised as he is behaving true to type, my submission is that there are other viable options available if truly Nigeria is broke. Nigerians choose Tinubu a known spender, doubled down with another wasteful spender as Senate President, exactly why are people surprised? 1 Like |

BlueRayDick: I posted something on the state of things with Boeing as an aircraft manufacturer. No one who follows aviation news will even consider buying a Boeing plane right now As to the other claim - Where are the Boeing engineers in Nigeria? You think people who are actually trained and certified would have stayed on Nigerias depleted aviation industry where they would be at the mercy of corner cutting businessmen? It is in fashion to bash this admin and that is all these 'experts' are doing. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 3:47pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: So, in summary the experts don't know what they are saying ? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 3:54pm On Aug 21 |
BlueRayDick: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Aviation_accidents_and_incidents_in_Nigeria This is a list of aircraft mishaps in Nigeria. Several of the planes are Boeing planes. Since we allegedly have several Boeing engineers, why did this happen? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:11pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: Like seriously? This is just like asking why are there so many Toyotas involved in accidents on Nigerian road. Which other brand of vehicle is more popular than Toyota on the Nigerian road? Is it Opel or Renault that we expect to be top on the list of accidented cars in Nigeria? How many aircraft in the Nigerian sky are not Boeing? 8 Likes |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 4:17pm On Aug 21 |
BlueRayDick: The claim is that there are multiple Nigerian Boeing engineers, the fg can easily service and maintain boeings. The data says otherwise. Add to the fact that our civil aviation is not that big to begin with and then ask yourself what percentage those crashes constitute of the total air fleet in Nigeria. 1 Like |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:27pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: I don't know where u read the bolded. The expert said Boeing is one of the fleet that Nigerian engineers are mostly mastered in It simply means Nigerian engineers specialize more in servicing of Boeing aircraft more than any other aircraft. Why? It's simply because Boeing is more common in the Nigerian sky than any other make of aircraft. It's just like how Toyota is more common than any other brand of car on Nigerian road. Now what does that have to do with air mishaps? Where is the correlation? I will ask once again: Are u saying the experts don't know what they are saying about their own field? 4 Likes |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Olowunl01: 4:28pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: I agree with you that the claim is faulty, whilst the basis of his assertion may have some merit it doesn't take into account that those engineers have mostly japaed, in same vein it cannot be used as justification for the new purchase or do we have engineers to service Airbus? . |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 4:32pm On Aug 21 |
BlueRayDick: You will note that the 'experts' are not named. Unfortunately we don't have anyone in aviation on this thread to corroborate or counter the statement from an unnamed expert source. All we have are claims that there are enough boeomh certified engineers in Nigeria to handle issues on a 15 year old Nigeria maintained aircraft. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:34pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: So it is now about the experts being named or unnamed? |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 5:33pm On Aug 21 |
GloriousGbola: The planes are not even serviced in Nigeria. The Presiential jet are usually serviced in Germany and France. |
