The subsidy regime was giving people a fake life and doing things they normally cant afford.

If you were doing the same job you're doing in US in Nigeria, how much do you think you'll be earning?

Do you think a man who has worked as hard as you all his life should park his car in his child's school because he can't afford to fuel it to work?

Do you not think wages should be commensurate with economic realities?

Different economies. US is different from Nigeria. What is the annual income of US divided by 320m people and what is the annual income of Nigeria divided by 200m people

You can work hard all your life and not be working in the right direction

By this end of this week, he'd probably be filling his gas for $35, money that if you were working minimum wage, would take you 2 hrs to make in most states of America.

The country is incredibly tough, and there's no out-hustling a system where food prices are doing 50% inflation year after year.

Maybe na me sha, but sometimes I feel these extreme requests by jujuists na psyching, sort of like they have you cross certain lines so everything else becomes fair game. Person wey get mind sacrifice e pikin no go think twice about scamming someone of their entire life savings.

Even working hard has to do it in the right environment. Those housegirl that comes from Togo to work in Nigeria, do you think if she was working as hard in Togo she will make the same as she does in Nigeria?

How many Nigerian based Tinubu supporters did you see on this board before election? When Atiku was asked, he said voters are not on the internet.
Those are the real politicians who know what they are doing
Real politician that knows what to do in snatching, grabbing and running with political power.

Only to be found out in governance, no snatching and grabbing and running away here. He has been found out to be an airhead, setting unprecedented records of failures never seen before in Nigeria.

His supporters are ditching and cursing him on a daily. Oasis sef know why e enter ndị nmuo mode.

When people tell you say you dey out of touch, you go dey do agidi, say you come Nigeria last December grin

What's the cost of 50KG Nigerian rice, what's the cost of a dozen egg gotten from Nigerian farms...how many hours does the average Nigerian need work to afford either of those commodities? How many hours does the average American need work to afford either of those commodities?

As a corp member in the PDP years, I could afford to buy two bags of imported rice and have change in my pocket. Today, even at the yet to be implemented new minimum wage, a corp member would struggle to buy1 bag of local rice. The food I could afford to buy off pocket money as an undergrad, I'd feel it in my pocket doing same today as an adult that earns what's supposed to be way above minimum wage.

Inflation isn't matching the growth of the economy, due mainly to misgovernance from the center, it's why you have "middle-class" Nigerian's struggling to afford the basics.
