If you are raising your children in Nigeria, it's not a flex that they can't speak your native tongue. I had family members who didn't teach their kids Yoruba and now it's not like their kids are any better than those who spoke Yoruba as first language from birth

I went to a private primary school, yet I can speak Yoruba well as we weren't restricted to English at home.

Though we are still at loggerheads about sending the kids back home for their secondary education, my wife is not against speaking Yoruba to them as she has started learning fast too.
