It'll take time before an Igbo man/woman become the president. The sooner igbos accept this bitter reality, the better for them. They should chill. In 50-70 years time maybe they'd have the opportunity to produce the president. |

kofimoses: The guy spoke my mind ; he re-echoed some of the points I've been trying to make since the presidential primaries period. Na person wey dem no born for Lagos before 1999 go dey talk say na Tinubu develop Lagos oh ha! Jakande was responsible for low cost housing estates sprawled across Lagos today. Some of our parents are multiple house owners today because of that affordable low cost housing scheme of Jakande. Lagos had industrial estates scattered all over the state from Ilupeju to Ikeja to Isolo etc prior to 1999. These housing estates housed textile factories, manufacturing companies, pharmaceutical companies and other industries in the 80's to early 2000's. Anybody that experienced childhood in Lagos in the late mid/late 90's and early 2000's will not buy the false narrative that Tinubu was the circus man that waved the magic wand that turned around Lagos. Yes, I acknowledge the fact that places like Ahmadu Bello Way Victoria Island in Victoria Island where the defunct Bar Beach was located was salvaged by Tinubu's government following constant ocean surges that wreaked serious havoc back then, but make we no let lapse of time make people exaggerate impact of Tinubu's governance for us. 3 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by kofimoses: 3:46pm On Jul 05, 2022 |
BlueRayDick: This sole single line that proponents of Tinubu use that "Tinubu built Lagos" has to be the most extreme show of stupidity. First of, there is no governor or administrator that can ever be called a poor performer because of the sheer amount of resources to work with. Lagos pre 1999 was still as it has ever been. The biggest state in Nigeria and city in Africa. Lagos has all the resources that makes it a cosmopolitan area, that is a place where people of all nationalities and tribes settle to make a living. Nobody can ever attribute that to one single person. That is an exhibition of stupidity in the highest order. I see people posting pictures and videos of developed Lagos and I ask myself, do these people really think that without Tinubu, these things wouldn't be possible? Or that he's even the sole reason why those things are there? Has Tinubu been a governor for 19 years? So just like that, every single effort of amnbode, fashola and jakande are all because of Tinubu? That is madness. Lagos pre1999 has always been the hub of African development, if anything, that development has relatively slowed down. Lagos should be better than Cairo or Johannesburg but that is not the case and people are here elevating failure. 1 Like |
