My own political position is that Nigeria must breakup or return to regional government at the very least. Until then, na sports section rules. So, people in this 21st century think Biafra will still work? Wonderful! If Biafra is actualized in January, it will scatter by March. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

izzou: I can't vote PDP because of Okowa and Atiku. I can't vote APC because of Buhari and then... tiefnubu, but I would have been tempted to vote for a younger tiefnubu. I was leaning more towards PO before, but I have serious fears for both the people around him and the deals wey him go get strike to stand a real chance. Plus, I am not impressed with his cult of Obidients, so No! Las Las... If I wake up that morning I fit do tumbutumbu and settle for one person. I have made my peace with the probability that in my life time, I am most likely not going to witness a better Nigeria. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 3:27pm On Dec 08, 2022 |
izzou: Reset Nigeria to factory setting. Let's go back to parliamentarian/regional government as practiced post Independence before Coup. Dividing Nigeria is no longer possible, whether we like it or not. We are too intertwined to go separate ways now. |

Nostradamus1: There are ober 10 thousand comments on that IG post. I'm guessing you went through every single one of them to come up with your first point abi? She posted something that people didn't like and they've spoken about it and told her they will meet in February.. People even told her that while they are okay with her husband winning, apc will lose the general election. So this your attempt to shift it from a tribal perspective that you originally introduced is just DOA 2 Likes |

nihilistjnr: Nigeria's problem is the fact that all our options are corrupt individuals. The people ruling us are theives, irrespective of tribe or religion. Look at Bayelsa for example. Is it when they go their separate ways that they will blossom? When as a state, the indigene as a Governor cannot be responsible and accountable to his fellow brothers? All the states i have been to in Nigeria have poverty written all over them. Except Lagos, the rest are way way below the poverty line. Yet, it is their own son of the soil that is the governor. So what will dividing the country do? Divide Nigeria into the 6 geopolitical zones, and in few months, we will be having states looking for their own exit. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

ASPAMDA market is in Trade Fair, Lagos. There have been a power tussle in that market for over two years now The past president (Offorkansi) did his tenure and extended it. It took a court order to throw him out. After much politicking, an election was conducted of which another guy won (Jim Best). Them no let this man rest. From one court to another. His wife and elder brother even died while he was president. Finally finally, they threw him out They just conducted another one on this week. Only one candidate was on the ballot, and only him won. I never see this kind election before. This is a market of 99% Igbos oh Greedy people will always be the problem. It is not whether a Yoruba man or Hausa man is ruling you. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: The only way to know if cessation will work is to evaluate how the individual states are faring. All of them are very poor. Forget all these nonsense hype of posting roads and aerial views. States are owing pensioners, salaries, cant employ teachers, cant generate IGR, cant improve the economic status of their state sef Na those ones wan run themselves as a country? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

izzou: You have a point. I'm not in a position to give a lengthy reply right now, but In my opinion, it is Nigeria's weak institutions have left the masses at the mercy of these leaders you describe. But bruh, corruption is everywhere. The difference between a UK/US and us is that the government is closer to the people in the form of councils and states. There's also a dominannt social culture which allows and encourages individual franchise. I believe more people are likely to feel empowered to compete for president in a country where there's only 5 states. The competition will naturally lead contestants to develop differentiation strategies, such as a dominant political ideology and/or a focus on performance. We saw it in the 60s. It can happen again. 3 Likes |
