The President of Ukraine addressed the African Union on Monday, June 20. Among the 55 heads of the leaders of the countries of the continent who were invited to a video conference with the President of Ukraine, only four were personally present - the rest only delegated their representatives there.

In his appeal, Zelensky argued that "African countries have become hostages of the war unleashed by Russia" and therefore they feel the consequences of the blockade of the export of Ukrainian grain and sunflower oil. Zelensky assured African colleagues that official Kyiv is still looking for ways to resume supplies.
