the court erred not to have stuck out the matter for multiple entry and functus officio. This matter has been settled by same FHC some years back. It should have been appealed at the superior court

Isn’t there a Supreme Court judgment on the matter already which barred Ikoyi registry??

The Federal High Court judgment in 2021 is a nullity. There has been a. pending case on this matter since 2018..The SC is yet to decide on it. A Federal High Court in Lagos in 2018 ruled that it is Federal government that has the constitunal power to handle marriage matters including the printing of certificates as eshirinef in 1999 constitution. Disatiisfied the Unified LGs approached the Appeal Court and lost again .Yet it was taken to the SC. We wonder the relevance of 2021 judgement on a case still pending at the SC.

Good one, marriage certificate issuance is within the purview of the LGA, dont know why greeding irresponsible FG should now issue marriage certs, what about the previous ones that were issued over the years, is it now null and void.

they should focus on managing the economy and not looking for sources of revenue covered by other arms of govt.

The case I am referring to is different from the one decided by the Federal High Court in 2021. This case ihas been before the SC since 2018. My concern is. why did a FHC give a order on a case that is before the SC with similarprayers as presented by the LGS?

It is irrelevant whether it is sealed or not. Marriage is a scam.
