Should I Proceed To Court Or Pay 70k Fines. by Esama: 8:29am On Jun 22, 2022
Hello great people my wife was arrested yesterday by police men in charge of BRT lane for passing BrT lane and her car was taken to their office in ketu.

However I asked her why does she passed BRT she told me the road was congested and they were diverted at Maryland close to new garage bridge. And there is many cars in front of her she actually thought those cars were moving unknowingly for her that those cars was holding down by police men.

Yesterday I beg them but they didn't take they told me that they will give me referral to take to the court. Or pay 70k fines.

Please proceed to the court. After spending money on the lawyer for 3 years, you will eventually loose the case then you go back to the police and pay the 70k initial fine then demorage of 1k per day for 3 years.

You actually admitted that she committed the act and broke the traffic law yet you are suggesting that we should enable a traffic violator. That is not a patriotic way to look at things, beside, this is Lagos. We really mean it when in Lagos Yoruba we say "Eko o ni baje".

Your admittance is enough for me to suggest that you pay unless you have time to waste while your car remains under detention.
One more thing, Lagos is building a register of traffic violators like your wife and it may be a reference point in the future especially for non-indigenes that may or do not have a permanent residence in Lagos. Indigenes can always be traced and reported through family channels and community Baale and Alaiyeluwas.

One thing about driving in Lagos, whenever you are told to take BRT or one-way or move on at red, just ignore until the officer comes close and you can capture his name and service number.
Anything short of that, you are on your own except you have a backup plan like some of us.
Go and pay o and tell your wife not to ever ever take BRT again. This lesson will help her too.

That guy is not from South south or Edo. He is a pure Yoruba man and Tinubu supporter. Infact, he is not married. They usually create these fake threads to create a fake impression of not being fake internet bots but responsible citizens. Take a look at islandlady. That moniker is not a woman. They are all on same WhatsApp group creating fake threads. Don't be deceived

Had it been your wife is a military personnel or a politician she would not be arrested.Even Buhari breaks the law all the time. The police who arrested her are lawbreakers.
