I picked up an ecowas passport this afternoon in a juction where I escorted my friend to go and apply for job. It has been matched by okada and motor that it look like something that is old or expired. I picked it and clean it up. It happen that it was just issued to the owner last month.
My intention was to go to police station or immigration office here in Abuja tomorrow to give it to them. But when I shared the story with my friends. They warned me not to try it with the reason of how Nigeria police behave and inconvenience or trouble I will get into if at the end of the day the owner was robbed or something.
Since then I have been confused, whether to go back to the juction and drop it and once rain beat it. It will be condemn. Just to avoid trouble.

Or to take risk and contact the appropriate authority.

To help people innocently and genuinely now in Nigeria is now a big problem because of the behavior of our security personnel.

Pls I need your advice on what to do to help the innocent girl of just 18 who lost this valuable document.
