Please someone experienced should kindly advice me on what to do please please please I applied for emergency appointment this earlier October and was denied and my program is starting on 10th January so I guessed is because its more than the 60 days requirement for the application, so right now application for emergency appointment is no longer showing in my portal. My question is , is it possible to apply for emergency appointment twice? Will I still have the opportunity to apply once is within 60 days to the start of my program. Or should I fill another DS-160 form then pay for another visa fee and re-apply? Please advice me on way forward thanks in advance |

Good afternoon, please I applied for EA because I was given an appointment date for September 2023 but was denied and my school is to resume on the 12th of January, 2023. The reason being that they cannot accommodate emergency appointments at this time. I’m guessing it’s because of this entire Red alert thing. I applied to the embassy in Abuja. School I cancel my appointment and request for Lagos How do I go about it? Do I need to pay another visa fee? Please I need help |

chisomebube:Ok, I believe, my ogas here can guide you, you might likely need to pay a new MRV fee to use EA option again. Once you are denied that option is gone forever |

Guruindahouse: I don't know where you saw these, but I wouldn't agree that the cause of their rejections was due to their residency status. Since you guys are lawful residents of that country, you have every right to apply for your US visas in that country. Also, you don't need a permanent residency before you can do that. Just your valid resident permit is enough. I am actually talking from experience(Germany). Interviews (with VOs) outside Nigeria are not as rigorous/chaotic (they are usually with ease) as compared to those in Nigeria. You just need to show them why you are going to the US and what you are going to do after the completion of your program. The spouse should also be able to convince the VO. In addition, Europe (just an example) wouldn't raise an eyebrow as to why you are going with your spouse to the US. Their social welfare and how they handle the issue of the family wouldn't let them do that. |

Oluwathoyin: Lagos consulate is still open , I don’t know of Abuja , yes there are dates , but it’s in 2023 . You’ll have to hunt for dates lol , and when the start to your program is close you apply for emergency. Hopefully you get a date this year . |

I’m scheduled for interview soon, I have my elder brother, a green card holder in the US as my sponsor with enough money on his bank statement, I hope this is not a red flag? I’m sorry if the question sounds stupid because I’ve read transcripts here where people are denied based on their siblings currently in the US |
