Thanks boss...I really appreciate. Hey bro! Lemme be brutally honest with you. Your chances are so slim with a Bachelors. Any age above 24 for a bachelors typically gets a VO to raise eyebrow. I remember when I heard my Visa interview about 3years ago, the dude who was in front of me at the Lagos embassy was 24 and was going for a bachelors degree in nursing. He was in nursing school at the time or was a practicing nurse who just finished nursing school. The VO kept talking about his age. Well, he was denied. Not saying it was because of his age. His age was really a thing of concern for the VO. But a bachelors degree at 32 doesn’t just sound right. To add to that, you already have a bachelors degree equivalent, why not go for a masters degree. Even those who have masters already and going for another masters typically shove it under the carpet at the embassy. Cos a typical question is - you already have a masters, why another master and not PhD? I’d recommend you get a masters degree! Many schools can offer you admission with your HND couple with your work experience. Good luck! [/quote] |

Hello House, good day to everyone. As a student traveling to the USA for studies, Do I have to buy a one way or return flight ticket please. Secondly, can the expedited appointment request be made by telephone call to the USA consulate? You advise is important to me. Thank you once again |

She should go for her interview. If she gets the visa she should differ her admission while waiting for her child's interview. chrisoo: 1 Like |

Goodevening house, i'm new here and have been reading interview transcripts. I'm overwhelmed with this platform. I got admitted to Georgia state university and still in the process of securing an appointment date. I just got married this september and had my court marriage but still using my maiden name because thats what i used in applying for admission. Pls direct me on how to fill it in my ds 160 form because i want to put i'm married but not answering my hubby's last name. Secondly, is there anyone that is presently a health administration student in any of the US universities? Thirdly, how do i get expedited appontment date as my program is starting january and i heard i need to be there 30 days before resumption date. Thanks |

justwise: You are not far from the truth, boss It's so typical of Nigerians actually!! A lot of our brothers are just fond of burning bridges after crossing. They easily forget to give back to the community that once fed them. They then hide under the pretext of "no one owes anybody anything." I miss the part 14 and 15 of this thread, mehn!! Those threads are the definitions of true selflessness! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

NozinoGroup: This has to be sarcasm, right? I hope it is, or why else would not one, not ten people pay a guy on a WhatsApp group I once joined to do the search for them? Some of them even paid as much as 100k. He took their CGI login details and did the stressful lookout for them. But then, you're right that it's just laziness. |

A friend of mine got PhD offer in the US. He has families and 2 kids. Since these kids will probably constitute nuisance and won't allow him to focus on his studies, can he forget about his family in Nigeria and tell his wife to find another husband? Going to the US is a big achievement and nothin should come in the way of that. Most times, it's better to forget about your parents in Nigeria and move anyways. That way you won't get bogged down with their issues while trying to figure your life abroad Ment and malaria, obviously! This has to be a prank 1 Like 1 Share |

alphabbey1: Hardly bawo? The way Nigerians generalize baffles me so much. They just sit down, formulate scenarios and try to shovel them down our throats. Wonderment!! Aside the financial implications, it is completely right and easier to move with one's family. In fact, that on its own is enough proof of not wanting to elope with their women. The only issue that may arise is the F1's inability to justify the funds meant to defray the F2s' expenses. 4 Likes 1 Share |

My advice on people with family If you have funding: Go to the embassy with your family If you don't have funding: Go to the embassy woth your family and hold a financial evidence It actually rarely affect if they will give you the visa or not. If you don't go with them now, it usually come with alot of frustration later. Thank you. 4 Likes |

At the foundation, we create awareness, educate and support sickle cell patients. we also have an insight on how to help the sickle cell patients by encouraging them, advicing them on living healthy and knowing the danger signs. (cuts me off) VO: Do you have anyone in the US Me: No VO: Asked me about my school (I can't really remember how she asked) Me: out of the three schools that offered me admission, which are Norwich University, University of Indianapolis and Lander University, I chose Lander University because they have an average class size of 22 which will give me a direct access to my professor and this will aid in my study also, Lander has been educating nurses for the past 50years which makes them one of the best (cuts me off) VO: Who is sponsoring you Me: My mother Mrs Bleep who works at Bleep as a Bleep.
