It's not uncommon to see one remote village in the middle of nowhere littered with mansions, roads tarred by a single individual, street lights, bore-holes supplying the community with enough free water, electricity etc it's almost a competition for Igbos to develop their communities to world class standards.

But the opposite is very much the case in the SW, travel to majority of rural communities in the SW and you will marvel at the abysmal lack of civilization pervading the people, the general lack of urbanization gets even alarming when you find out most people in the SW still live in thatch and mud houses! No wonder every Adeleye, Shasmudeen, Tajudeen, Azeez etc is claiming Lagos, so nobody wants to claim Ogbomosho, Iragbiji, Apete? etc
