One thing you must admire about an Igbo man is that wherever he finds himself in any part of the world, he must always develop his village and surrounding communities back home to decent standards. It's not uncommon to see one remote village in the middle of nowhere littered with mansions, roads tarred by a single individual, street lights, bore-holes supplying the community with enough free water, electricity etc it's almost a competition for Igbos to develop their communities to world class standards.

But the opposite is very much the case in the SW, travel to majority of rural communities in the SW and you will marvel at the abysmal lack of civilization pervading the people, the general lack of urbanization gets even alarming when you find out most people in the SW still live in thatch and mud houses! No wonder every Adeleye, Shasmudeen, Tajudeen, Azeez etc is claiming Lagos, so nobody wants to claim Ogbomosho, Iragbiji, Apete? etc

The truth is the Yoruba are extremely poor, they have only a few elite and even fewer middle class who have majorly left the country to places like Canada,UK and Australia and the US.

It is a sad truth.... I was ashamed of our rural areas when I visited some rural areas of Anambra state early this year.

The villages like kpor, Achina etc, near iklobia, are so full of mansions you can't imagine.

Face the truth.

If Igbo's launch attacks on your big scamming churches and others you won't survive it.

They just need to improve on their inner roads….and sweep them regularly, then Abiriba could possibly be the most beautiful villa’ in Nigeria!
