Multiple suits have been filed before the federal high Court seeking the nullification of the pdp primaries held in imo state for the national and state assembly seats on the 26th of May 2022. The aggrieved aspirants are asking the court to nullify those primaries and restrain inec from listing pdp candidates for several national and state assembly seats in the three zones of Imo State for violating section 84(5) Of the electoral act 2022. The worst hit is the constituency of the pdp candidate for the 2015 and 2019 Gubernatorial election in imo state Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha were there house of representatives and state assembly primaries were held contrary to the provisions of section 84 (5)(c) of the electoral act.
