Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has declared Thursday the 30th of June and Friday 1st of July as public work-free days. This is to enable state Civil servants and political appointees to participate in the voter registration exercise. All Commissioners, Special Advisers, and top government officials are directed to go to their various local governments with the view to sensitising and mobilising the general public to register and obtain their voter's cards before the closing date announced by the National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), and that they will render reports on the outcome of the exercise in their respective local government areas.
