Comments on this forum always amuses me. You guys dont seem to understand the state called Nigeria. Anything pertaining to religion is very sensitive and all the religious groups are very cautious.
I think Sanusi and Co should change the name to something else instead of calling it Islamic Bank. I also think if a parallel bank (Christian Bank) is also established it wont solve the problem because customers would patronise the banks based on religious lines.

everything in Nigeria is always misinterpret, this banking system may be good outside this country. what CAN  are fighting is to prevent future occurrences from Muslims. This banking system may cause war or crisis between religious group because of our LOW understanding especially NORTHERNERS who may  think or claim to be the owner of that bank. before implementing such,there is need to review the conditions, sign MOU between GOVERNMENT AND RELIGIOUS GROUP,remove some restrict among equal, have same preferential treatment among tribe and  ethnic group.
