Mourners at the burial of a pastor with ECWA Church, Rev. Adamu Buba, were dispersed by gunmen at Tudun Ibru in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Tuesday. Buba was kidnapped when terrorists during an attack on the area on Monday night in which three persons were killed and some others were kidnapped. Vanguard reports that he was found dead on Tuesday close to the community. Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, confirmed the incident, saying, “It is true and when the church went for his burial; gunmen started shooting and people fled.” Regarding how Buba was kidnapped and killed, a source recalled the attack on the community on Monday night. “The kidnappers then moved to Doka and abducted 9 people. The pastor of ECWA Church Tudun Ibru, Rev Adamu Buba was among those kidnapped, but this morning, while villagers were on the heels of the kidnappers, they found his body,” said a source.
