But you can keep crying. In an election,
number is the key. But if you prefer
sentiments, na so-so cry you go de cry every
election cycle.

Well, I have been sort of crying...simply because I don't like the APC-PDP duology .

I supported the NCP when I first voted in 2003. Have backed smaller parties since then. Was backing Moghalu in 2019, would have backed him in 2023 if he had won his party primaries (he lost).

When you come to the issue of running mates, Peter Obi stands at a major advantage. His choice ticked the religious diversity box, ethnic diversity box, ticks the young and energetic box and also ticks the education and integrity box.

Coming to Atiku, his choice ticks all the boxes too, but Okowa is a featherweight when you come to regional politics, he cannot influence the votes of anyone in Delta, not to talk of the whole south south, and Wike will just eat him raw.

Coming to the issue of Tinubu running mate, what else can I say, when mass resignations and demolition of party structures and even party offices has become the reaction of many APC staunch members, this one is a major VP drawback, a dead weight that will drag down the ship of APC all the way to the elections and beyond.

Indeed, the Obi candidature has so many things going for it.

Talk of youthfulness. Talk of integrity. Talk of competence. Talk of equity and fairness. Talk of increasing youth base.

I just pray and hope that all obidients worldwide will be able to sustain the tempo till the Dday

Okowa of course, what has Okowa ever done in his region, nothing. Datti has built a university, won elections and is seen as a hope for the younger generations.

Goodness me! Okowa has not won elections before? Humor me again.

And Atiku also built a Uni, so what’s the big deal?

Even Adeleke built uni

I think you just being emotional, sentimental and bias here!! Deep down you know the truth, but wishful thinking is getting the better of you

PO having a running mate that ticks religious, ethnic diversity, young, energetic etc only works in western countries not here. We all know masses in nigeria vote base on religion, ethnicity, tribe and then competency.. That aspect will have no impact or advantage to Datti.. No northerner will go to ballot box thinking about those indexes

I'm a northerner, and I'll tell u this for free.. Datti will be very lucky to even win 1LG.. His from Kaduna north, same constituency with El-rufai grin

You implied that Datti who is not known at all and non existant politically prior to him being nominated as VP, having an advantage, but reffered to a whole sitting Governor, who has structures and support base as "featherweight"! Haba bro, why una too dey lie! undecided so Datti is more powerful than Okowa?

Yes, people are resigning from APC, but tell ur self the truth, who are those people!! Most of them are not even known, with no political base or structure at all!! Until I see governor, minister etc

All I'll advice you and PO supporters, is to be logical, rational and truthful when making political permutations

Empty activist. This is old school analysis. It may have worked if it were in 2019 but this is 2023 election for Christ sake. All political analyst should not look down on BVAS and the new electoral Act. That shit has killed rigging and had 90 percent return power to the people where it should be. Elections of 2023 would be influenced by individuals not parties

Lol! But the difference b/w Atiku and Tinubu candidate is that, PDP governors are the ones fighting Atiku, who are the most powerful block.. While I don't see any governor in APC fighting Tinubu's choice
Mademan7:
Yes. Atiku picked his running mate, the decision divided PDP, people became angry and left the party. Tinubu picked his own, the decision divided APC, people became angry and left the party but Peter Obi picked his running mate and there was joy everywhere. Think about it. By the way;

Among the VP, who has built a university?
Among the VP, who had a good business before being nominated?
Among the VP, who has the best CV?

Being governor can happen to any lucky person, ask Goodluck or Yahaya Bello.

What Tinubu and the APC did in presenting a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the presidential elections may not be against the constitution, but it is very insensitive. It's like Atiku and Kwankwaso being joined together in a ticket (if they succeed with the Muslim-Muslim ticket, they may experiment this also), no southern will vote for them(and I don't expect any Christian to vote for a Muslim-Muslim ticket).

The best thing that can happen to Nigeria right now if for INEC to disqualify APC from the presidential elections. They are too much of a distraction from what is important to us as a nation at the moment.

Save this space, APC WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
while ur analysis is right about the wickedness of apc you're dead wrong about Christians not voting for him, several of my church members including a deacon are seriously with him.alot of my friends and even 2 of my siblings will vote for him and the thing has almost caused a fight. I'm so angry because he might actually win.most youruba Christians will sadly still vote for him,I don't know the kain strong thing the guy dey use or if its just pure tribalism

Why The Noise About Muslim-Muslim
Ticket?
In 1978, Awolowo and chief Umeadi
Philip ran on Christian/Christian
ticket.

In 1966-1975 Yakubu Gowon and Joseph Akinwale ruled as Christian/ Christian.

In 1979, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and
professor Ishaya Audu ran on Christian/
Christian ticket.

Johnson Ironsi and Babafemi Ogundipe
have also ruled on Christian Christian
ticket.
I think, the Northerners have been very
tolerant and accommodating.

Victory is certain with the block votes from northern Nigeria
.

Did the 'bolden' up there succeeded in the elections, subsequently ruled Nigeria? the answer is No.

Victory is certain with block votes from Northern Nigeria, the same Northern Nigerian Governors kicking against the Muslim-muslim tickets.

We as Nigerians, did we had any Muslim-muslim ticket win election at the Presidential? The answer is YES,

When? The 1993 Presidential election,

Which Party? SDP
Who were on the ticket that won the Presidential election? MKO Abiola& Alhaji Babagana Kingibe, did they succeed in ruling the country? No
What happened? The election was annulled by a Muslim Military Head of State, General IBB.

Though I am not a sentimental religious fanatic, if a liberal Muslim-muslim ticket will bring the end to Nigeria's numerous problems, so be it, but again politics is dynamic, those era is not the same now, our leaders should find a way to strike a balance in electoral recruitment process, so everyone can have a sense of belonging but not on a plater of inCompetency to fix this country.

100% truth. My only prayer, once Tinubu wins, is for Jagaban to holistically restructure Nigeria so those of us who are sane, tolerant, progressive and without terrorist leanings can be free to build lives other innately evil folks cannot impede.

What u guys should know is that Tinubu is a master strategist. He knows Christian North will never deliver and the best calculation is to play Muslim/Muslim card despite we know Christians south won't like this. Like it or hate it, Kwankwaso will finally step down for Tinubu for ministerial post and that alone will put Atiku and Obi in limbo. The votes of South is already divided cos the stronghold of PDP is south east and south south. At the end of the day, the permutation favour Tinubu. That's the reality, take it or leave it

We hate mediocrity and we hate empty brains. We hate incompetence and we hate anyone who supports such. We warned you guy that Buhari is incompetent but you called us wailers.
