I have noticed that people do disrespect the Nigerian Police and it hurts their ego and affects their morale.
These actions have triggered the police to become more aggressive to prove that they are not weaklings as they are being portrayed.
Most Nigerians with cars look down on the police.
The people that appear to respect police a bit are mini bus drivers[ transporters]
Most Nigerians doesn't like to stop when flagged by the police.
We should learn to respect and cooperate with police at Check points.
If the police decide to stop accepting bribe, most Nigerians will be indicted.
Police only accept bribes from guilty people.
Having said that, I condemn the killing in strong terms, except the boy was armed and the police was under threat.
if you don't have a car don't talk rubbish. Police don tell me I go delay you today after I don give am complete papers. He no Knows my P man na lawyer. I for show am something that day grin grin grin

my brother it's wrong. Asking a 17 ur old boy for a bribe is absolutely rubbish and I am so sure that the officer could father the boy

When boogers cut of a dead man's head, his hurstle has just started into the next life.especially for such a weak soul that has lived a very corrupt and unrighteous lifestyle. Better imagined than experienced.

You are indeed a smart thinker. All what you said are exactly my thought when I saw the post. A lot of people driving despise the police, forgetting that Nigeria police is like a legal criminal, yet people still dont realize it when being flagged down by the rogues in uniform. How much will the police collect from these boys that is worth their lives?
It is well sha.

Courtesy matters whether you re right or not. Under, scorching sun and being unwanted meat for bandit, robbers and ugm, police in checkpoint become red alert, are ready to shoot. Big boys in a car who usually think they have friends on top always look down on police officers.

I condemn the killing in its totality, but let all learn from this. Always be polite, courteous and respectful to any police on duty. Dead man no go justice. Obey before complain

The disrespect was brought about by the police themselves. Its called see finish. When they stop you for whatever reason everyone knows they are looking for a bribe.

Most Nigerians don't like being stopped because there's no logical reason to stop them. You just mount a road block and stop vehicles to see who can be caught to obtain a bribe and you want to be respected.

Check points are illegal.

If police stop accepting bribes it would be fine to be honest because they would leave the roads alone and won't waste time looking for expired papers which I don't even know if it falls within the jurisdiction.

No matter how you want to paint it the police are the cause of everything they are facing.

You really can't differentiate a question from an attack..
And a personal observer's comment from support..

No one supports what the police did, I understand your pain, but don't attack other readers from expressing their views and thoughts
